Hi everyone!
There is a story I must tell you all.
I was in the United States Air Force, from 1976 to 1980. Of course at that that time, many of you were not born or were very young. The cold war was still raging and I as an American, new nothing about the Soviet UNIОN, or anyone who was Russian.
During my time in the military a monthly propaganda meeting was held. Many topics were discussed during these meetings but in every meeting some time was devoted to 'teaching' us about the U.S.S.R. We were always lead to believe that the Soviet UNIОN was evil, and that Russians were cold, unfriendly and untrustworthy. Because I knew no better I believed these lies.
Who would have thought that so many years later, I would learn the REAL truth about the Russian people, that Russians are a warm, compassionate, friendly and passionate about life and living! Back then I would have not ever guessed that I would come to know such a wonderful group of people as my colleagues in Rostov and Moscow! It's otclichno!
